DREAM CATCHER CLASSROOM FUNDS
Books can build more than readers
At Dream Catcher Books, we believe books create possibility, connection, and opportunity. We also believe the people who spend their days helping children learn deserve support.
That's why 5% of every eligible Dream Catcher Books purchase can go toward a participating public school teacher's Classroom Fund.
who can participate
Classroom Funds are available to K-12 teachers working at public schools.
The program is currently limited to public schools. Charter schools, private schools, and homeschool educators are not eligible to participate.
how it works
1. Teachers enroll.
Eligible teachers provide their information, and school details so Dream Catcher Books can verify their participation.
2. Each teacher receives a unique Classroom Funds code.
Teachers can share their code with family, friends, students' families, and anyone else who would like to support their classroom through Dream Catcher Books.
3. Customers shop.
When placing an order, customers enter the Classroom Funds code of the teacher they would like to support.
4. Five percent goes into the teacher's Classroom Fund.
Dream Catcher Books sets aside 5% of each eligible purchase associated with that teacher's code.
5. Teacher's receive their funds.
Classroom funds are distributed three times each school year, on or about:
-
September 1
-
January 1
-
May 1
The full available balance is distributed each time. There is no minimum balance required.
Funds earned after the May distribution carry forward to the September distribution.
what can classroom funds be used for?
We trust teachers to know what will best serve their classroom and students.
Classroom Funds may be used for classroom needs, materials, activities, student support, or other expenses that benfit the teacher's students, and learning environment. A teacher might use Classroom Funds for books, supplies, snacks, flexible seating, sensory materials, classroom celebrations, or something completely different that their students happen to need.
There is no one-size-fits-all classroom, so there is no one-size-fits-all use for these funds.
