I definitely had to give the Queen of Mystery a try, and she is good. It was like reading a game of clue; anybody could have done it. In the end, I got it half right.
Six people sit down for a birthday dinner at a fine dining restaurant. Once the show is over, the guest of honor is dead. Cyanide. Ruled as a suicide by cyanide, the deceased’s husband accepted the coroner’s declaration. That is, until, he received a letter stating his wife had been murdered. Everyone at the table has motive, so who is the murderer and how did they do it?
To be honest, I didn’t quite get the “how” until it was spelled out, and thankfully the author spells it out in the last chapter. The way the book is written makes it seem like every single person at the table did it (with the exception of one person, and I will leave that person nameless). It is an interesting book, and I would give it a 3.8 out of 5 stars. I will likely read more of her books in the future.
