Mr. Fixer Upper is book 1 of the Welcome Home Series.
Gannon King and Paige St. James. Need I say more? Just kidding. This book is pretty much what you would expect from the title. Paige is a production assistant on the King's show where Gannon and his sister fix up homes for deserving people.
Gannon is your typical hot, grumpy, sexy builder and Paige is the heart and soul behind the camera. Paige makes everything work. The Kings are actually good people with big hearts, but Gannon hates the entire process of being on screen. Paige, on the other hand, is dealing with family expectations that she cannot meet because her mother does not respect her line of work. Working on a fixer upper show is not what Paige had in mind for her dream, but it is what it is. She needs the money to pursue her passion project (a documentary) so she has to make it work. A book filled with created drama for ratings, a misunderstanding, and a sweet gesture by Mr. King himself will have you smiling by the end of this book.
Another solid, reliable, and light read by Lucy Score.
4/5 stars.
A recommended read for Lucy Score fans.
