This may have been my first spy novel! Somehow the Russians are getting CIA intel and disrupting missions left and right. Informants killed, an agent captured, attempted murders, a new administration heading the CIA, and a mole. This spy novel seems to have all the makings of an exciting and intriguing read, and yet I found it left much to be desired.
The book was interesting, but had more fluff than action. It was heavy on details, but not very descriptive. Ultimately, I found it to be anticlimactic. I give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars. While it was not my cup of tea, it might be yours. It does nudge me towards reading more spy novels. Drop your recs in the comments, please!
