The Last Second Chance is the third book in the Blue Moon series. You can see my reviews for No More Secrets (book 1) here, and Fall Into Temptation (book 2) here.
In The Last Second Chance, we dive into the history between Joey and Jax. Jackson Pierce is the youngest of the Pierce brothers. After Jax suddenly leaves Joey for reasons unknown to her, she is heartbroken and holds a grudge. When Jax returns to Blue Moon determined to win Joey back, a lot is revealed about that fateful night when they were 18. Jax struggles with being a screenwriter despite his farming roots, and yet he finds that his writing is not far off from his family's roots. In this book of the series we find so much growth in the families, Pierce Acres, and a new family dynamic enters the chat.
Personally, I love the Pierce family and each book makes me fall in love with their families even more. One of my favorite things about Lucy Score books is the different family dynamics and situations we read about, and this book definitely brings a spin of family life I really loved and found to be touching. If you want guaranteed happily ever afters, and easy reads to step away from the heaviness of the world Lucy Score is your girl. Blue Moon is a very quirky town, and it is nice to slip into somewhere unrealistic. If you want realistic, I don't think the Blue Moon series is going to be your speed. Lucy Score books in general give Hallmark movie vibes.
Just a reminder, I am biased about Lucy Score books.
